Every class has a coach on the floor, fourteen people at most, and a version of the workout that fits you today, not the person next to you.
The main class
Strength & Conditioning
A warm-up, a strength piece, a short hard workout and a cool-down, in 60 minutes. Every movement scaled to you, and a coach watching every rep.
Weekdays from 5:30am, Saturdays at 7am
45 min, Mon & Wed
Engine
Rowers, bikes, ski machines and the sled. You'll breathe hard, and there's no barbell in sight.
Tue, Thu & Sat
Barbell Club
The snatch and the clean and jerk, coached in groups of six. Bring patience; leave with a PR.
45 min, Sundays
Mobility
Slow stretching and joint work. Your lower back will want to write you a thank-you note.
Saturdays, 8am
Partner Saturday
A team workout with the music up and the door open. Bring a friend; their first one is free.
Weekdays 10:30am–4pm
Open gym
Your own program on our rigs, rowers and racks, with a coach around if you get stuck.
$99/mo with a membership
Nutrition coaching
A monthly sit-down about what you eat. No meal plans you'll quit by Thursday.
Three steps to your first class.
Nobody walks into a class cold. Former college athletes and people who've never touched a barbell start exactly the same way.

“I'm 52, and for twenty years I hadn't lifted anything heavier than a laptop. Eight months in, I carried my granddaughter the whole way up Cowles Mountain.”
Carol, Clairemont
“Luis found the reason my back hurt in my first week. Two years later I squat more than I did in college, and nothing hurts.”
Devin, Bay Park
“Foundations was the best $149 I've spent. I walked into my first real class knowing every movement on the whiteboard.”
Priya, North Park

What everyone asks first.
Something else on your mind? We're on the floor from 5am, so a text is the quickest way to reach us.

I'm out of shape. Is this for me?
Yes. Most of our members walked in out of shape, and plenty of them are over fifty. Every workout has a version for where you are today, and your coach picks it with you.
Do I have to do Foundations?
Almost everyone does. If you've trained at a gym like ours for a year or more, we'll look at your movement at the intro, and you can go straight to classes.
What if I have an old injury?
Tell us at your intro. Luis, our physical therapist, screens every new member, and your coaches work around it, or on it, from your first class.
How big are the classes?
Fourteen people at most, always with a coach on the floor. The 5:30am and 5:30pm classes fill first, so book those a day ahead.
Can I pause or cancel?
Every membership is month to month. Pause it for vacation anytime, and cancel with two weeks' notice. No contracts, no fees.
Is there parking, and a shower?
Free parking in our lot and on the street, two showers and lockers. Bring a lock and a towel.
Your first session is on us.
Thirty minutes with a coach: what you want to be able to do, a short movement screen, and a look around. No workout, no pressure, no sales pitch.
